Here you can enjoy views of Omey Island, this tidal island can be accessed by car or by foot at low tide. The Aughris peninsula and the surrounding coastline at Cleggan and Claddaghduff are dotted with beautiful white sandy beaches, all waiting to be explored. The ferry to Inisbofin Island, a popular tourist location, is also located at Cleggan pier. This is a lovely experience for a day trip for family and friends. Connemara National Park is just 15 minutes by car and can be accessed from nearby Letterfrack village. The park boasts wonderful hill and woodland trails for all to enjoy. A little further along is Kylemore Abbey and Victorian Gardens which offer a wonderful experience for visitors. Boat tours are available close by at Killary Fjord and Letterfrack Bay. There are many more activities available in the region, including golf, fishing, hill walking, hiking, pony trekking, shooting and much more.
Claddaghduff village offers a grocery store and a bar, and Cleggan village offers a grocery store, bars, restaurants, and cafés. Both villages can provide you with all you need for your self-catering stay. Clifden town can be reached within 15 minutes by car and hosts larger supermarkets, additional bars, restaurants, café’s, shops and galleries.
Facilities:
4 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms – Sleeps 12. The accommodation is on one level and includes a combined kitchen, dining and living room, separate living room, four bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms, two further bathrooms and a utility room. Wi-fi is available and the property offers all modern conveniences.
To the left of a welcoming hallway is the sitting room complete with flat screen TV, wood burning stove and comfy couches. Continue down the spacious hallway to the sleeping accommodation Bedroom 1 has two double beds, ample storage for your belongings, TV and is complete with ensuite bathroom. Bedroom 2 is a spacious double with king size bed and again complete with TV and ensuite bathroom. Bedroom 3 and Bedroom 4 both have a double and a single bed and again complete with TV and ensuite bathroom. The main family bathroom is spacious and has a large jacuzzi bath. Come through to the kitchen/living/dining area. It is a big open plan space with flat screen TV, wood burning stove, comfy couches, dining table and chairs, double doors and breakfast counter. The kitchen is made of oak wood and is well equipped with all necessary equipment including an American style fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, gas hob, and electric cooker with grill. This entire living space feels spacious and airy, flooded with natural light from the windows. Off the kitchen is the utility room with washing machine and dryer. There is also a bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. Externally there is garden furniture and a BBQ.
The property is heated throughout by an oil heating system. Bed linen and towels are provided. Heating, electricity and wi-fi is included in the rental price. Smoking is not allowed. Sorry, no pets. Travel cot and highchair available. Parking is available for up to three cars.
A security deposit of €200 is required for this property. Our reservations team will arrange this with guests prior to arrival. Pre-authorisation of a payment card will be required.
