A picturesque Connemara cottage with traditional red tin roof situated at the foot of Errisbeg hill, boasting stunning views of the infamous Dog’s Bay. It is just a short 5-minute drive into Roundstone village, which offers an array of café’s, bars and restaurants, as well as a grocery store, craft shops and fuel supplies, everything you need for your self-catering holiday.
Enjoy views of Errisbeg Hill, take a leisurely stroll to the beautiful Atlantic coastline, explore the village and surrounds, or continue to Roundstone’s famous white sandy beaches at Gurteen and Dogs Bay. Enjoy leisurely walks and cycles at the nearby Connemara Greenway, which is accessible at Ballynahinch, or walk the nearby Inishnee Island loop walk. There are numerous trails and driving routes to explore in the region, including the well-known Roundstone Bog Road and along the Wild Atlantic Way. Sea fishing and boat tours are available locally, golf is available at the nearby Connemara Golf Links course at Ballyconneely, and Kylemore Abbey and Connemara National Park are just a short drive away. Local activities include kayaking and paddleboarding, sea angling, lake, and river fishing, walking trails, hill walking, pony trekking, golf, boat trips and much more. This is an ideal location for exploring all that the Connemara region has to offer.

3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom– Sleeps 6. The accommodation is on two levels and includes a compact kitchen, combined dining and living room space, three bedrooms and a main bathroom.
A narrow road off the main road leads you to the cottage, there is a grass area to the side of house with picnic table offering the perfect space to enjoy the unique views over Dogs Bay and Gurteen Beach.
As you enter the cottage you are straight into the kitchen which is basic but has all you need, Gas hob and cooker, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. The bathroom is off the kitchen with shower over bath, sink and toilet. There is washer/dryer in a cupboard in the bathroom. Off the kitchen is the cosy sitting room complete with TV, comfortable chairs and a nice open fire. There is a wooden built staircase with gate secure for children which leads up to bright twin gallery/mezzanine bedroom. Downstairs off the sitting room is one double and one twin bedroom.
The property is electrically heated throughout with starter pack provided for the open fire. Bed linen and towels are provided. Smoking is not allowed indoors. Electricity included in the rental price. No Wi-Fi. Travel cot provided. Parking is available for one car. Pets welcome. Short breaks are available year-round.
A security deposit of €150 is required for this property. Our reservations team will arrange this with guests prior to arrival. Pre-authorisation of a payment card will be required.
