Guided angling and boat hire can be arranged at the property and is provided by experienced guides with years of fishing experience on Lough Corrib and further afield. Oughterard Golf Club is just 4.5km away and offers an 18-hole golf course and adjoining restaurant in the clubhouse. Horse riding, walking routes, Aughnanure Castle, Glengowla Mines, Brigit’s Garden, Derroura Mountain Bike Trail, Wild Lands, and an alpaca farm are some nearby activities and attractions. This is an ideal base to explore the wider Connemara region for day trips, including Kylemore Abbey, Connemara National Park, Ashford Castle and the beautiful white sandy beaches dotted along the Connemara Coastline at Renvyle, Ballyconneely, Roundstone and on to Spiddal and Bearna in the Connemara Gaeltacht.

The accommodation in this large and luxurious self-catering holiday property is over two levels and consists of a lounge and dining room, kitchen, TV room, gym with sauna and steam-room, sunroom with mezzanine, six bedrooms, six bathrooms and guest WC. All bedrooms are on the upper floor and the upper level also boasts a balcony, offering views of Lough Corrib and the surrounding countryside.
The ground floor of this property includes a large lounge and dining room with large comfortable sofas, wood burning stove, large multi-channel smart TV, and offers fabulous lake and garden views. Starter fuel is provided for the stove. The lounge leads into the kitchen which is large and modern and equipped with all the conveniences and equipment you will need for a comfortable stay, including dishwasher, Aga cooker with electric ovens and gas top, American style fridge freezer, electric kettle, toaster, microwave, and coffee pot. Dining tables and seating is available for 12 persons.
Leaving the kitchen area, you will enter the hallway where you will find the remaining ground floor accommodation, and the staircase to the upper floor. A guest WC is located next to the kitchen. The spacious TV room offers a large flat screen multi-channel TV and large comfortable suite of furniture. The utility room is next door and houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. Next is the gym, which offers a selection of exercise machines, a TV, a sauna, steam room, and a bathroom with pumped electric shower, WC, and sink. The relaxing sunroom with mezzanine completes the ground floor accommodation. The furnished sunroom offers access onto the patio area, which includes outdoor furniture and gas BBQ for your use.
The wooden staircase to the upper floor is in the large entrance hall area. All remaining bedrooms are on the upper level. Bedroom 1 is the exceptionally large master bedroom with large en-suite bathroom including bath, shower, WC, and sink. The bedroom offers a super king 6ft bed, ample fitted wardrobes, TV, and access to the balcony which offers lake and garden views. Bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 all offer king size beds, en-suite bathrooms with shower, WC, sink, ample storage for your belongings, and fabulous views of the lake and surrounding countryside. Bedroom 2 also has access to the balcony. Bedroom 5 is a twin bedroom housing two single beds, and an en-suite bathroom with shower, WC, and sink. Bedrooms 6 is in located in the mezzanine above the sunroom and offers two single beds, lockers, lamps, and wardrobe. It is accessed by the staircase located in the sunroom.
A travel cot is available. Guests should note that there is open access to the lakeshore just 80 metres from the property. High speed wi-fi is available in the property. Pets (maximum 2) are welcome. It should be noted that pets are not allowed in bedrooms or on furniture, must always be kept under control, and cannot be left alone in the property.
The property is heated throughout via geothermal heat pump to ensure comfortable temperatures for your stay. Linen and towels are included. Electricity and heating are included in the rental price. Short breaks are available outside of peak season. Access to the property is via electric gates. You will be met on arrival and will receive the fobs for the gates then. There are ample parking spaces available for 4 cars.
A security deposit of €500 is required for this property. Our reservations team will arrange this with guests prior to arrival. Pre-authorisation of a payment card will be required.
