A beautifully presented traditional thatched cottage ideally located a short walk from Omey Island/Strand and Claddaghduff village. The property offers wonderful countryside and sea views, natural gardens, ample parking, and is ideal for families or friends to share, or for couples seeking a romantic seaside getaway. The cottage is just a short drive from Clifden town and Cleggan village boasting shops, bars and restaurants, offering all the supplies you will need for your self-catering stay. An ideal location to explore all that the Connemara region has to offer, close to Connemara National Park, Kylemore Abbey, Adventure Centres, fishing, pony trekking, and lots more!
Facilities
2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom – Sleeps 4. The accommodation is split level and includes sitting room with open fire, kitchen with large dining area in conservatory, two bedrooms and one bathroom.
Off the welcoming entrance porch, a small corridor to your left leads you to a cosy yet spacious sitting room, enjoy the open fire or take a seat at the writing desk and get creative, there is no TV present however nature’s rich tapestry is visible outside with an ever-changing portrait of sea and countryside views. Some steps down lead into the kitchen/dining area. The modern kitchen is well equipped with ample storage and appliances, including dishwasher, electric oven and hob, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, washing machine and dryer. At the other end of the room, you find the dining area in the conservatory area, again offering you beautiful sea views while you enjoy your meals. The sleeping accommodation is the opposite end of the cottage, consisting of a twin room with two single beds and a large double room both with sea views and ample storage for guests’ belongings. The cottage is serviced by a large family bathroom with large walk-in shower & separate bathroom.
The entire cottage is full of character from the thatched roof, high ceiling, old style open fire & old country furniture throughout. There is also outside decking and a large grass area surfacing the cottage, perfect for children to enjoy.
The property is oil centrally heated. Wi-Fi is available in the property. Utilities are charged on usage. Towels and linens are provided. There is ample parking available for three cars at the property. No smoking. No parties. Pets by request and incur an additional charge.
A security deposit of €200 is required for this property. Our reservations team will arrange this with guests prior to arrival. Pre-authorisation of a payment card will be required.
