A beautiful bothy style cottage located on the shores of Cleggan Bay, close to the fantastic Aughrus Peninsula. The house has uninterrupted views across Cleggan bay to Cleggan Head and on a clear evening guarantees a spectacular sunset.
This is an ideal property for couples or singles. Enjoy a luxurious rural retreat while still being located a short distance from nearby amenities, attractions, towns and villages. Explore Connemara during the day, and relax or entertain at the house in the evenings. It is worth exploring the immediate area to experience the panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and breath-taking seascapes. Take a day trip to Inishbofin by ferry from the nearby Cleggan harbour or enjoy a day sea fishing. Explore the off shore islands, or take a pony trek along the coast towards Omey Strand and Omey Island. The nearest shop, restaurant and bar are less than 1km away in Cleggan village. Clifden town can be reached within 10 minutes’ drive, and Connemara National park is about 15-minute drive. Local activities include fishing, pony trekking, walking, cycling and much more.

1 bedroom, sleeps 2. The bothy is ideally placed to offer guests a tranquil stay with wonderful views, while being close to Cleggan village. The accommodation consists of a combined kitchen, dining and living room, a separate bedroom, and a bathroom and Wi-Fi is included.
Access to the bothy is through the double doors into the open plan kitchen and living space. The modern fitted kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable self-catering stay. It includes fill size electric cooker & hob, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, ample tableware & cookware and washing machine. The dining area includes a dining table and seating for two persons. The living room area is furnished with comfortable sofa, includes multi-channel smart TV and soundbar.
The bedroom includes a luxurious double bed, lamps, and ample storage and hanging space for your belongings. From here you can also see the sea views. The bathroom includes WC, sink, heated towel rail and a large walk-in shower.
Externally there is a patio is furnished with outdoor table and chairs perfect for enjoying a morning coffee! And if that wasn’t enough there is also a great seating area just up the back where you can enjoy the evening sunset watching the ferries come and go. The bothy is electrically heated throughout. Bed linen and towels are provided. Heating, electricity, and Wi-Fi is included in the rental price. Smoking is not allowed. Sorry, no pets. Charging of electric vehicles must be agreed prior and incurs a cost of €20.00. Private parking is available on site for one car. Short breaks are available year-round.
A security deposit of €200 is required for this property. Our reservations team will arrange this with guests prior to arrival. Pre-authorisation of a payment card will be required.
